Do tours include entry to cathedrals or Dublin Castle?
Our walks are outdoors so we can keep the pace relaxed and cover more ground. Entry to St Patrick’s Cathedral, Christ Church Cathedral or Dublin Castle is separate and paid directly to those venues. If you’d like to go inside after the tour, tell us when you book—we’ll finish nearby, point you to current opening times, and help you choose where to start.

What’s the best time of day for a tour?
Mornings and late afternoons tend to be calmer around major sights and make for nicer photographs. Midday can be busy in peak months. If you plan to visit an interior afterwards, check the last entry time and pick a start that leaves you a comfortable buffer. Dublin’s weather is changeable, so a light waterproof keeps any time slot enjoyable.

How long are the tours and how far do we walk?
Most tours take around two hours. We usually cover two to four kilometres with frequent stops for stories and photos. The routes are designed for comfort rather than speed. If distance or pace is a concern, mention it when booking and we’ll suggest the best tour or adjust the route on the day.

Where do tours meet and finish?
We use simple, central landmarks so you can find us easily. Your confirmation email contains an exact pin and your guide’s contact for the day. Please arrive ten minutes early. Finishes are planned near cafés, transport and, where helpful, the entrances to interiors you might want to explore.

What should I wear or bring?
Comfortable shoes and a light waterproof are the essentials. In cooler months, a hat and gloves make pauses more comfortable; in summer, sunscreen and water help. We build in rest stops and photo breaks and won’t rush you through a story.

Are tours suitable for children or older visitors?
Yes. We keep the pace easy and the tone welcoming. For families with prams, some medieval lanes have cobbles; we’ll suggest smoother alternatives. For older visitors, we add rest points and keep walking segments short. Private departures offer extra flexibility if you’d like the route tailored to your group.

Do tours run in the rain?
They do. Light rain is part of Dublin life and rarely spoils a good story. Bring a simple waterproof and shoes with a bit of grip. If a severe weather warning makes walking unsafe, we’ll contact you to postpone or refund. On drizzly days we use sheltered spots where we can.

Can you accommodate accessibility needs?
In most cases, yes. Tell us about mobility aids, preferred surfaces or sensory needs when you book, and we’ll plan accordingly. City pavements are mostly level, but there are patches of cobbles and the odd short gradient. We’re happy to adjust pace and route to make things comfortable.

What’s included in the ticket price?
Your ticket covers guiding and the small‑group experience: a clear route, thoughtful pacing and time for questions. Interior tickets, food and drink aren’t included, so you can decide what to add to your day. Your confirmation includes the meeting‑point pin and practical notes so you can arrive relaxed.

How do I book and get confirmation?
Choose a date on our booking page, select your tour and confirm your details. You’ll get an email immediately with everything you need for the day. If it doesn’t arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder or contact us and we’ll resend it. We can also send a friendly reminder the day before your tour.
